Clutches

General information

 

Clutches are shaft binding elements capable of connecting two axes. In general, the connection is not brittle, but can be dissolved in some way (usually due to force). This means that in case of tightness or other malfunction of the system, the clutch is damaged and not the protected equipment. When the clutch is released, the clutch itself is usually damaged. In such a case, either the clutch or the insert or both must be replaced to restore normal operation. If the clutch has unlocked the drive for some reason, it is advisable to check its condition before restarting!
