Axle joints

General information

Shaft joints are mechanical drive technology devices for connecting various drive technology elements to the shaft. The most commonly used shaft joints today are tapered clamps (Taper Bush). With a tapered clamp, drive technology elements designed for this purpose can be fixed on the shaft. In principle, tapered clamps can be used without a latch, but we do not recommend this...

The so-called clamping kits, also known as KL clamps, are often used. These clamping kits allow mounting on the shaft without using latches or screws to secure the drive technology element. For fastening, two simple wedges turned against each other are used, which are usually clamped together with a screw. The harder you tighten the bolt, the more the inner and/or outer diameter of the clamp changes. The standard tightening torque of the screws can be found for each product in the catalogs located below the downloadable documents.
