General information

Ring clamping sets, also called KL ring clamping sets, are drive components that allow a pulley or other drive component to be clamped onto a shaft without the need for a grid rail or hole. Ring clamping sets are standardized and are produced by many different manufacturers. In principle, products from different manufacturers are interchangeable at any time, but the overall breadth and range of available types may vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.

However, for these products it depends on the shaft size, the external size and the width whether we can mount the ring clamping sets or whether it may not fit in the space available to us... In our webshop we use the SATI marking for identification of our ring clamping set (hence KL), because SATI has the largest selection of ring clamping sets of all the manufacturers we know of. Nevertheless, we also use the markings of the manufacturers CHALLENGE and SIT (as far as possible).When selecting a KL ring clamping set, the available space, the torque to be transmitted and the accessibility of the bolts must be taken into account. The detailed characteristics of each product can be found in the product descriptions and in the accompanying catalogs, but the selection still requires expertise (unless you are replacing an existing product with the same one).
