Serrated rims

Description

Gear ring flanges (or SAE flanges, or Sitex flanges, or Bowex flanges, or FL flanges) are a special design of ring gear clutch linings. A standard ring gear hub is attached to the center of the rim, while the rim is usually bolted to a motor. This coupling is most often used between diesel engines and the driven equipment (e.g. hydraulic pumps, rotary pistons, compressor blades). In most cases, when repairing the clutch, the central hub made of metal is not damaged, only the rim needs to be replaced. The central hub made of metal can be found in the Tooth ring clutches product group.

In the article number, the numbers after the GDF mark refer to the maximum shaft dimensions of the hub belonging to the rim (for example, 42/48). The numbers after FL in the article number (6.5, 7.5, 8, 10, 11.5) refer to the SAE size of the rim according to the SAEJ620 standard. In the Table, Size2 is the outer diameter of the rim in millimeters, Size3 is the number of holes on the rim and the diameter of the holes in millimeters. The nominal outer diameter of Sitex and Bowex flanges differs slightly, but the SAE standard bore and center design make SAE flanges made by different manufacturers (identical numbers) interchangeable.
