Clamp pulleys
General information
V-belts are used in the pulley with a groove. Without a pulley, the V-belt cannot be used either. The V-belt is tensioned into the trapezoidal groove on the pulley, so even with a higher normal force, the force on the shaft does not increase too much. Standard pulleys can have several fastening methods. The advantage of the tapered clamp (Taper Bush) version, which is most commonly used in industry, is that it does not require subsequent metalworking.
For the desired tapered clamping pulley, you need to choose a tapered clamp whose shaft size meets your requirements and can be installed in the drive. The disadvantage is that oversized holes cannot be used, i.e. for "small disc - large shaft" tasks you will not be able to find a suitable product. Conical clamps can be found in the Shaft joints menu. Numbering of the discs: letter of the belt profile used (SPZ, SPA, SPB, SPC), nominal diameter / number of tracks - type number of the tapered clamp that can be matched. Fun fact: the diameter of the discs is always slightly larger than their nominal size, because the nominal size is always calculated according to the useful (Lp) belt size, i.e. a few millimeters below the rim. (The exact difference between the nominal diameter and the actual diameter is indicated in the description of the products.)
