Longitudinal belts
General information
Longitudinal belts are flat belt products with longitudinal bulges on one or both sides in regular space. It's like tiny V-belts stuck tightly together. It is precisely because of this design that longitudinal belts combine the beneficial properties of flat belts and V-belts. Longitudinal belts are usually made of rubber. Based on the distance between the thickness of the belt and the center of the longitudinal ribs, different standard types are distinguished. (PH, PJ, PK, PL, PM) If the strap is marked with two letters beginning with the letter P, the size of the strap can be interpreted as a metric number. If only one letter (J, K, M) is printed on the strap, the number after it can be interpreted as an inch size. (Of course - to our annoyance - some manufacturers mix all of the above...)
Longitudinal belts are also made of polyurethane. Usually for special tasks. Their dimensions are the same as those of rubber straps. (Except for TB2, which has a 2mm division.) Polyurethane PJ belts usually have transverse notches on the outside. This is not a handrail surface, but is necessary for greater ductility.
The longitudinal belts are delivered from manufacturers in sleeves 200-300 ribs wide per size. The final rib number is cut off at the time of the customer order. For these types of belts, due to individual production, we do not accept any withdrawal from the customer after sending the confirmation. These products will not be exchanged or taken back.
