Description
Gear ring flanges (or SAE flanges, or Sitex flanges, or Bowex flanges, or FL flanges) are a special design of ring gear clutch linings. A standard ring gear hub is attached to the center of the rim, while the rim is usually bolted to a motor. This coupling is most often used between diesel engines and the driven equipment (e.g. hydraulic pumps, rotary pistons, compressor blades). In most cases, when repairing the clutch, the central hub made of metal is not damaged, only the rim needs to be replaced.
