Rod ends with internal thread
Description
The threaded ball joint is also called a shaft end (Rod end) and can be made with an internal thread. A GE type ball joint is installed in a cast housing that is internally threaded. The nominal size of the internal thread is always the same as the nominal internal diameter of the GE eye. Ball joints with internal thread can be of SI or SIKAC design. Ball joints with internal thread can be made with right-hand or left-hand thread. Right-hand drive is the basic designation. In the case of left-hand traffic, an L is indicated. SIL or SILKAC.
The additional properties of ball joints with internal thread are marked with prefixes or suffixes. The most common markings for ball joints without internals are as follows: S sign=stainless, S suffix=groove and lubrication holes on both rings, E=slotted outer ring, C=maintenance-free, M7=sliding surface steel/bronze, 2RS=with rubber seal.
