Banded belts

General information

Banded V-belts are specially designed transmission belts that connect ready-made, uniformly long V-belts to a cover, vulcanize the components to each other, creating a multi-row drive belt. Its design resembles longitudinal belts, but of course in much larger dimensions. Interlaced V-belts are usually used in heavy-duty drives. Its biggest advantage is that it does not allow the belt of the multi-track drive to slip even in case of pulse-like shocks, thus increasing the torque transferred.

 

Another important feature is that since it connects the belts, they are not able to vibrate at different frequencies, thus significantly reducing the transmission of vibrations damaging the drive from one axis to another. The main user of interlaced V-belts is agriculture, but these products are also often used in the mining and milling industries. It is recommended for all applications where high forces are awakening and the working environment is dusty/dirty.

Based on the type of interlaced belts, interlaced belts of classic profile and interlaced belts of narrow profile are distinguished. Classic interlaced belts are still often used in agriculture, but their importance is diminishing, since narrow-profile interlaced belts are not significantly more expensive, but still allow much more efficient power transmission. The choice of classic interlaced belts is much smaller than that of narrow-profile versions. Interlaced automotive V-belts (2HAVX) can be found in the Automotive belts menu!

As with normal V-belts, several quality levels are distinguished, interlaced versions can also be produced at several quality levels. Products made of normal NBR material have the standard power transmission capability corresponding to normal V-belts. Maintenance-free models transfer power with slightly higher efficiency than their normal counterparts, but after proper installation, they can be operated for months without human intervention or maintenance.
