Bevel gear with curved teeth

Description

The tooth design of bevel gears with curved teeth is similar to straight teeth, but takes the form of a circular arc instead of a straight line, they are also called curved, circular or hypoid teeth. Bevel gears are available with a standard module number of teeth. Standard gears are made of C45 steel. The bevel gears can transmit the drive on mutually perpendicular axes. The bevel gears are able to provide a gear ratio in the drive in proportion to the number of teeth of the paired gears. The standard ratios are 1:1 or 1:2 or 1:3 or 1:4.

Two pieces, i.e. a pair of gears, form a pair. The pairs cannot be disassembled, the bevel wheels work flawlessly and safely only with the pair delivered with them!

The Gleason toothing represents a change compared to the traditional bevel gear shape in that it creates a shortening of the head cone. This reduces the risk of interference in the drive.
