Seeger rings
Description
Seeger rings are simple shaft locking devices. They prevent longitudinal movement of either the axle or the drive element fixed on the shaft. Two types of alder rings can be purchased in our webshop. OUTER alder rings according to DIN 471 can be placed on the outer shell of shafts. The outer seeger rings are marked as follows in the table: R A marking x nominal shaft size x width (material thickness). The nominal shaft size indicates the diameter of the shaft on which the ring can be used. The actual inner diameter of the ring is always smaller than this, because it must fit into a groove formed in the axis...
