Profile STD S5M timing belt
Description
STD toothed belts are belts suitable for non-slip drive transmission (as in the case of chain drives), since not only the force of friction but teeth keep the belt in position. They are made of rubber with a fiberglass force-carrying thread. We can also consider them as the predecessors of the HTD types that are more commonly used today. The power transmission capacity of the STD timing belts is slightly lower than the HTD types due to the design of the profile of their teeth. It is always possible to use an STD type timing belt instead of an HTD. On the other hand, an STD type toothed belt can only be replaced with an HTD type toothed belt if the tooth depth of the pulley allows this.
STD S5M timing belts have a tooth pitch of 5 mm, a total profile height of 3.4 mm, and a tooth height of 1.91 mm.
The width of STD-S5M timing belts can be ordered in mm. When ordering, you must specify how wide the belt should be. (Any width can be chosen, the standard widths are: 40mm, 55mm, 85mm, 115mm, 170mm.) Price and quantity unit: 1 mm. This belt is individually cut from the approx. 1 m wide roll (sleeve) made in the factory when the customer orders. Since it is considered a unique production, we do not exchange or take it back, we do not accept cancellations from the customer after the start of production (sending the confirmation)!
The supplied width of STD-S5M belts may differ from the nominal width. The tolerance for belts with a nominal width narrower than 40mm (regardless of length) is +0.8mm and -1.3mm. +1.3-1.3mm for a nominal width of 40-55mm up to a belt length of 840mm. +1.5mm and -1.5mm from 840mm belt length. +1.5mm and -1.5mm for belts with a nominal size of 55-85mm up to a length of 1680mm. For 5M belts with a length of 1680mm or more and a nominal width of 55-85mm, the width tolerance can be +1.5mm and -2.0mm. +2.3mm and -2.3mm from a nominal width of 85mm to a length of 840mm. From 840mm upwards it can be +2.3mm and -2.8mm.
