Mechanical belt tension meters
Description
Spring force meters. Mechanical belt tension monitoring devices.
To check belt tension, place the meter in the center of the belt (halfway through the wheelbase) and press down on the device. If you manage to push the belt to the specified depth with the specified force, then the tension is correct.
If with the specified force the belt manages to be pressed lower than the specified depth, then the belt is loose. If you cannot push the belt down to the prescribed value with the specified force, then the belt is too tight.
