Description
The patent eyes used for roller chains are used to make the roller chains endless. From the patent eyes, we distinguish between straight connecting eyes (patent eye) and bent connecting eyes (half eye) based on their design. A straight connecting stitch is used when splicing the chain with a split length when it ends, a bent patten stitch is used when splicing with a straight stitch would already result in a chain that is too long. The half patent eye increases the length of the endless roller chain by half the division of the roller chain.
28AH eyelets are used for 28AH ANSI140H roller chains. Of course, it is necessary to use patent eyes with a width equal to the number of tracks (rows) of the roller chain to be spliced.
