General information
The gearbox is a mechanical system that can be used to change movement variables. A gearbox consists of different gears and shafts. They transmit torques, directions of rotation, speeds and forces. The structure of a gearbox contains three components: the drive gear, an energy source (e.g. motor) and the rotary motion transmitted to the gearbox. Gearboxes must always be able to transmit power, influence the direction of rotation, control speed and torque. It has a partially closed or closed housing.
They can also be used to change the position and direction of the drive. Gearboxes of different designs are manufactured for tasks with different requirements.
