Variator V-belts

General information

Thanks to their special design, variator V-belts allow them to move up and down in the pulley according to the lateral movement of the variator discs, thus modifying the gear ratio and speed of rotation. Industrial variator V-belts are standard in design for stepless gear shifting in machines and equipment, while automotive variator V-belts are commonly found in agricultural machinery and vehicles. (Many automotive variator belts can only be purchased at car shops or motorcycle shops...)

In the case of variator V-belts, in addition to the profile width, the profile height and the wedge angle are also of paramount importance. In order to achieve the correct variator effect, a variator belt with a profile width and wedge angle specified by the manufacturer should always be used.
