Description

One coil of chains marked 081 contains a length of 5 meters. (For some products, it can be 50m or 100m, this will be marked separately.) Each box contains a terkert roller chain and a piece of straight snap link. 081 roller chains can be single-row (simplex, marked 081-1), two-row (duplex, marked 081-2) and three-row (triplex, marked 081-3). The chains marked 081 have a division of 12.7mm, an inner width of 3.3mm, and a roller diameter of 7.75mm. For roller chains marked 081, snap links and/or sprockets marked 081 must be used.

When riding a chain drive, the tensile strength of the roller chains specified in the catalogue must always be taken into account! A downloadable catalogue can be found under the Downloadable Documents tab.

What you need to know about ISO BS roller chains?

A significant part of the roller chains used in Europe are manufactured according to ISO R606. This standard is originally based on the English standard BS228, which is why ISO chains are often referred to as ISO (BS) roller chains. Based on their structure, roller chains consist of a pin, roller, connecting plate (sponge cake). The material and design of the parts determine the quality of the roller chains. However, the value specified in the standard is usually met by roller chains of any manufacturer. In everyday use, reinforced chains are usually not required. The ISO (BS) standard does not specify a standard for reinforced designs. Reinforced ISO roller chains, which may be commercially available, are manufactured according to the individual ideas of manufacturers. (From reinforced chains, ANSI H standard reinforced versions are also widespread in Europe.)
